Girl scouts from Wren Hollow Elementary School in West St. Louis County put on a lemonade and bake sale for injured police officer Mike Flamion Saturday morning.  There was no monetary goal.  It was simply the girls doing their part to raise as much money as they could for someone in need.

“I wanted to help (Officer Flamion) because he’s going to need a lot of stuff to help him get well,” Madison Seabaugh said.

“I want to raise as much money as we can for Officer Flamion because he’s in a lot of pain,” added Julia Mattison.

Schucks and McAlisters were among the businesses that contributed food and drinks to the girl scouts so they could donate all proceeds to Officer Flamion and his family.  Fellow police officers from nearby municipalities showed up and contributed.

Signs in front of the stands even mentioned it was donations only.

“I just think everyone reaching out and coming together and showing support for (Officer Flamion) is going to mean the world to him,” event organization Sarah Burkemper said. “It’s going to get him through things.”
