2 dead, several injured in 2-vehicle accident in Wildwood

Police have identified two drivers who died following a two-vehicle crash in the early morning hours on Saturday. 

St. Louis County Police said they responded to the crash around 2:23 a.m. 

Police said Paula Turpiano was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway 100, near Taylor Road when she struck a second vehicle. 

The Turpiano, 35, was taken to the hospital where she was listed in critical and stable condition. She later died at the hospital

The second vehicle, however, contained a driver and five passengers. Police said the driver of the second vehicle, 72 year-old Gary Osborne Sr., was pronounced dead at the scene.

The injuries of the five other passengers varied. A 60 year-old female suffered major injuries. Meanwhile, a 20 year-old passenger, 31 year-old passenger, and a 14 year-old passenger, all suffered minor injuries. 

An 8 month-old passenger was not injured during the accident. 

The relationships of the driver of the second vehicle and his passengers are unknown at this time. 

The investigation of this accident is ongoing and is being handled by the St. Louis County Police Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.
