BALLWIN, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A local Girl Scout troop was busy preparing their own fundraiser for Officer Flamion.

The girls will be running a large bake sale and lemonade stand in Ballwin on July 23 with all of the proceeds to be donated.

The bake sale was organized by one of the mothers who is also a police officer’s wife.

“We want everyone to realized that these are men and women, fathers and mothers, they're people and their job is not always fun, so we need to thank them for everything that they do," said Sarah Berkemper, organizer and police wife.

The bake sale will be at Spring Hill Farm Drive in Ballwin near Big Bend and Hanna.

The girls will be out at 10 a.m. and will stay as long as people keep coming to donate.
