ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

The Cardinals are stepping up to help the Ballwin police officer who is paralyzed after being shot in the line of duty.

The Redbirds will be donating a portion of ticket sales from the soccer match between Liverpool F.C. and A.S. Roma to a fund for Flamion set up by the Gary Sinese Foundation. The two teams are squaring off at Busch Stadium on August 1.

Fans purchasing tickets to the game at cardinals.com/soccer can use the promotional code BALLWINPD to ensure that 50 percent of the sale proceeds go towards the fund to help Flamion.

Flamion was shot on July 8. Ballwin police say he is paralyzed from the neck down as a result of the shooting.

Several local restaurants held a dine out for Flamion on Monday, donating a portion of their sales from that night to Flamion's family

Two brothers also set up a lemonade stand to raise money for Flamion.
