NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A starving dog was found with his snout partially shot off in north St. Louis Thursday.

Stray Rescue of Missouri says the dog, now named Nickels, is emaciated and was barely able to stand when he was found near the intersection of Jefferson and Sullivan. Part of the left side of his snout was shot off.

Stray Rescue is caring for Nickels and is looking for more information on finding the person responsible for Nickel’s condition. If you have any information, please call 314-771-6121.
