ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A group of Black Lives Matter supporters gathered in Forest Park, and made their way to the Delmar Loop Sunday evening.

Kaytez Moore is an organizer of the march.  She said the Black Lives Matter movement isn’t not about division.

“It was never an ‘us against them’ to begin with.  It was never a black people against white people or black people against the cops.  I think that's where people are getting it confused,” Moore said.

Moore said it's about this group's fight against injustice, particularly the shooting deaths of two black men by police officers in Minnesota and Louisiana.

“Coming together for a solution and progression,” Moore said.

When it comes to the police shootings in Dallas and Ballwin, Moore said that wasn't the answer.

“Hatred is not the solution. Hatred has never led us to progress. That has not helped us as a society. Hatred is distraction.  We have to be unified and lead with love,” Moore said.
