ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Power has been restored at Lambert Airport after a transformer blew on Sunday due to the heavy rainfall.

The transformer went down sometime before noon.

Lambert said every airline, except for Terminal Two and Southwest Airlines, was affected by the blown transformer. The airport said all those who are flying today should check with their respective airline for delays or cancellations.

The power outage even closed some restaurants and affected baggage claim.

Backup generators were providing power to health, safety, and critical building systems for Terminal One and Concourse A & C. Airlines were still able to operate, but their ticketing, gate and baggage delivery systems were impacted.

Ten flights were canceled and about 600 people were affected by the outage. Officials said the heavy rain penetrated the rooftop equipment causing damage to two transformers.
