Crews respond to explosion, fire at O'Fallon, Mo. business

O’Fallon, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police and emergency crews responded to a report of an explosion and a first-alarm fire at SAK Construction in O’Fallon, Missouri around 4:30 p.m.

The business is located at 864 Hoff Road in O’Fallon, Mo.

Police say there are 55 gallon drums of polymer resin used to line PVC piping inside the building. The drums were stored in a shed area when they reached a flashpoint and blew up.

According to authorities, the Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Team, HAZMAT, has been called to the scene.

No injuries were reported.
