NEW BADEN, Ill. (KMOV.com) – Two suspects were injured and a third was taken to jail after a police pursuit in Clinton County Thursday evening.

Around 4:15 p.m., a sergeant with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle that had multiple occupants. The vehicle fled from the area and eventually crashed on Route 161, about a mile east of New Baden.

Two suspects were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. A third suspect ran from the scene but was eventually taken into custody.

The roadway was closed while authorities responded to the area.
