ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – The suspect has been identified and charged after allegedly killing a man and injuring a woman during a stabbing in north St. Louis on June 30.

The 31-year-old woman told police she was with her boyfriend when the suspect, Anthony Rohrer, 31, who they were acquainted with, stabbed them in the 1400 block of Clinton just after midnight.

The man, 35-year-old Ricky Gillespie, of the 3100 block of Chouteau, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

After stabbing the couple, Rohrer allegedly ran from the scene. He was later taken into custody in the area of North 17th and Mullanphy.

Rohrer is charged for first-degree murder, first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action. His bond is set at $500,000, cash-only.
