COLLINSVILLE, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Two people were arrested seven months after a 68-year-old man was killed in Collinsville, Illinois.

The Major Case Squad was activated after Daniel A. Taylor, 68, was found dead inside his home on Ostle Drive in early December. Taylor died of blunt force trauma.

On Monday, police said they arrested Jessie Werley, 34, of Park Hills and Eva Heisch, 45, of Farmington in the connection with Taylor's death.

Werley and Heisch are charged with murder, armed criminal action and armed robbery.

Police said the Collinsville Police Department discovered additional evidence after the Major Case Squad disbanded. That evidence was enough to pursue charges, police said. 

No other information was made immediately available.
