HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police are looking for several suspects who climbed through drive-thru windows during armed robberies Monday.

Around 1:15 a.m., four or five suspects wearing painter’s masks, gloves and hooded shirts pulled over their faces, climbed through a drive-thru window of the McDonald’s at 1919 South Jefferson in St. Louis and robbed two female employees at gunpoint, police said.

Less than three hours later, a vehicle drove up to a drive-thru of the McDonald’s in the 7300 block of N. Lindbergh Boulevard in Hazelwood. Surveillance video shows three suspects inside the vehicle exited and climbed through the pay window and made their way to the restaurant’s safe. Police said at least one of the suspects was armed during the robbery.

In both robberies, the suspects left with an unknown amount of money and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

No employees were injured during the incidents.

Since there are similarities in both robberies, authorities are looking into whether the incidents are connected.  Police are also investigating if a similar robbery that occurred a couple of months ago in the Metro East is also related.
