(KMOV.com) – Two men were arrested and charged with a hate crime after they allegedly threw eggs at African-Americans at bus stops on Friday.

The incident happened around 10:50 p.m. on Friday at South Grand and Chippewa in the City of St. Louis.

Police say David Ragain and Jesse Reed, both 30, pulled up in a white van and yelled racially offensive insults at a woman while throwing eggs at her.

But she wasn't the only victim. Police also say Ragain and Reed threw eggs at multiple people at various bus stops along the route.

Reed and Ragain were caught after the city installed new security cameras in that area a few weeks ago.

Both men worked for Mission Gate Prison Ministry, a Christian organization the provides a home and employment resources for recently released prisoners. A co-founder of the organization told News 4 both men have resigned.

Both have been charged with assault motivated by discrimination, which is a class D felony. Police are asking any other victims to come forward.
