ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The St. Peters Board of Aldermen will vote Thursday night on whether to turn empty farmland into a multi-purpose racetrack.

The proposed 370 Speedway would be a place for go kart, motorcycle and drone racing.

Paul Irwin, the developer of the track, told News 4 he would do everything he can to cut down on noise since neighbors are worried about it.

“It’s up in the air at this point,” Irwin said. “It’s in the city’s hands, I’ve done all I can do through the noise studies and providing people with information.”

Irwin said if the board approves the plan he will still need financing, but is hopeful the track will be running by spring 2017.
