ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A man is facing charges for his alleged role in homicides that occurred in south St. Louis.

Dawton Thompson, 19, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, five counts of armed criminal action, two counts of first-degree robbery and attempted robbery.

Thompson was allegedly involved in two south St. Louis shootings.

Thompson is accused of being involved in the fatal shooting of Jessica Paxton, 23, in the 4600 block of Spring on June 12.

Paxton was in a car with a 25-year-old man and a 2-year-old boy when police believe Thompson, Davante Lindsey, 19, and one other suspect announced a robbery.

Police believe someone inside the victims’ car was trying to buy drugs.

As the suspects were fleeing, one of them allegedly fired shots, killing Paxton.

Lindsey has already been charged in connection to the crime.

Three days earlier, authorities allege Thompson shot and killed John Jerome Moore, 24, in the 3500 block of Bingham.

Thompson is being held on a $1 million cash-only bond.
