SLMPD searching for two suspects in Church's Chicken armed robbery

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- St. Louis Metropolitan Police say they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday, June 18 at a Church's Chicken on N. Grand. According to police, two male suspects are still at large.

Authorities say the suspects entered Church's Chicken, and man wearing a Star Wars Storm Trooper zip-up jacket produced a firearm, and demanded an employee to remove money from the cash register. The employee complied and the man leaped over the counter, both suspects proceeded to remove money from the register. 

As the suspects were leaving the store with the money, the other wanted suspect grabbed a purse from a customer inside Church's Chicken. The suspects fled the store and were last seen in an older-model grey Dodge Durango, fleeing east on Franklin.
