ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police are searching for the suspects involved in two armed robberies in the Central West End.

The most recent armed robbery took place early in the morning on June 21.

Police said a woman was walking to her car when she saw a silver-or-tan-colored car make a U-turn at McPherson Avenue and Euclid Avenue. According to police, the victim walked into the parking lot and the suspect approached her. The suspect then showed a firearm and demanded her money.

Hours earlier on June 20, a 37-year-old told police he was in the 500 block of North Sarah when the suspect approached him and asked for a cigarette around 10:50 p.m. The victim told the suspect he did not have a cigarette and continued walking. Then, minutes later, the suspect approached him again, produced a firearm and demanded his property.

The suspect searched the victim, taking his cell phone, cash and belt, then fired gunshots, striking the victim in the shoulder.

The victim was listed in stable condition after being driven to the hospital by a passing motorist.

Ward 28 Alderwoman Lyda Krewson said, “These are two incidents that happened at gun point as I understand it and that’s very scary you know, how easily accessible guns are so it's very scary."

Krewson said cameras in the area could help track down suspects.

"There are a lot of cameras in places in the Central West End; cameras aimed at the street and also a lot of businesses have cameras and we have a security director, Jim White, who works to gather all that video to try and provide it to police to see if it can be of any help to them,” said Krewson.

Anyone with information about either incident should contact police.
