SOUTH ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police say some neighbors in South City woke up on June 12 to find their cars vandalized.

According to police, at least 14 cars were damaged along Geyer Avenue and Russell Boulevard.

Authorities say the incident may have happened overnight on June 11, but officers responded around 7:56 a.m. to the 2900 block of Geyer Ave. They also were on scene in the 2700 block of Russell Blvd. around 8:14 a.m.

Neighbors say the damage to their car windows cars were by shots fired from a BB gun. They also say the crime is confusing because the person(s) who shattered their car windows did not seem to want anything of value from inside their vehicles.

Ryan Sheridan found his car windows shattered and thinks it is strange nothing was taken, even though there was not much inside.

“Probably $10 in the glove compartment,” said Sheridan. “They didn't even open the doors.”

Police confirmed that no entry was made into any of the cars and nothing had been taken. They also mentioned they have not made any arrests.
