ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Multiple charges have been filed against a man accused of opening fire upon multiple people in Carondelet Park, including a Park Ranger.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has issued warrants against Demetrius Webb for three counts of Armed Criminal Action, Assault 1st, Assault 2nd, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Defaced Firearm during an April 24 incident. Webb, 36, had his bond issued at a $500,000 cash-only bond.

On April 24, Webb and a man got into a verbal confrontation during a gathering. Webb then produced his firearm and shot the man in the back and torso. Webb also shot a second victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the foot.

Webb left the scene and got into a vehicle driven by another person.

A park ranger, who was on patrol, was flagged down by those at the gathering. The ranger followed the vehicle Webb was riding in and tried to pull the car over. Webb exited his vehicle and fired at least one shot towards the ranger's vehicle, striking it.

The ranger returned fire and struck Webb. Police retrieved Webb's weapon at the scene, which had a defaced serial number.

The first victim is still in the hospital, where he was updated from serious/unstable condition to stable condition. The second victim was listed as stable.

The park ranger was put on paid administrative leave, per department policy.

The investigation is ongoing.
