ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

Several teens are accused breaking into cars in St. Charles County and beating up one victim who tried to fight back.

Police believes six teens are responsible, four of whom are juveniles. Two of them, Montana Laurenti and Terrance Chance, are 17-years-old. A victim told News 4 she believes several of the suspects were around 12-years-old.

Rachel Beck, a roommate of the beating victim, told News 4 it started when she heard her dogs barking and roommate yelling late in the night of April 22.

“She heard a car door slam and a car pull away so she ran out and woke us and said, ‘I believe your car just got broken into,” said Beck.

Beck’s friend then ran outside and jumped in his car to chase after the thieves, but the six teenagers became violent.

“They knocked him down because they outnumbered him,” said Beck.

The teens then fled to their next victim’s house, police say.

Officers received a report of another car break-in and police say the suspects matched the description of the teens. Police then stopped a car. Inside were the suspects and many stolen items including a backpack belonging to the beating victim, officers say.

The teens were then arrested.

Authorities recovered all of the stolen items excepted for a shotgun. All three cars broken into were unlocked.
