NEW BADEN, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- A cloud formation that one News 4 viewer thought could have been a tornado touchdown in New Baden Tuesday afternoon could be "anything", the National Weather Service said.

The photo was taken near the intersection of Highway 161 at Interstate 64 by KMOV viewer Barbara Payne.

In the photo, there appears to be some sort of debris being kicked up by the storm clouds in the driving rain.

Bridget Barboza lives in New Baden and also saw the scary weather. She said, “The trees were coming towards my house, it was green and the sky was emerald color."

Barboza says her home only suffered some minor damage to the roof.

The National Weather Service says they will not investigate it as a tornado because no one was hurt and there are no reports of significant property damage.

No injuries were reported.
