2 teens injured in separate St. Louis shootings

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Two teenagers were injured during separate shootings in St. Louis.

Saturday night, two 16-year-olds were walking in the 2600 block of Ohio when a maroon Chevrolet Impala approached them around 10:15 p.m. When the vehicle approached them, the teenagers fled down an alley, at which time they heard gunshots, police said.

One of the teenagers sustained a gunshot wound to the back. The other victim was not injured.

A second teenager sustained a gunshot wound to the buttocks in the 4200 block of St. Louis Avenue around 12:15 a.m. Monday. The victim told police he was in the area when he heard several gunshots and began to flee.

After being shot, the 14-year-old went to a friend’s home in the 4200 block of Maffitt. He was then taken to the hospital in critical, stable condition.

No information regarding suspects have been released.

Both investigations are ongoing.
