FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A Warren County man faces life in prison after being convicted of multiple felony counts of sodomy and one count of incest.

Kenneth Edwards was found guilty by a jury on April 19. His conviction includes three felony counts of first-degree sodomy and one count of first-degree incest. Edwards' trial was moved to Franklin County after a change in venue.

Warren County Prosecuting Attorney Kelly King said Edwards faces life in prison on each of the statutory sodomy charges and up to four years on the incest charge.

Edwards will be sentenced on July 7.

According to court documents, the sexual assault of Edwards' victim took place between July 1, 2004 and June 30, 2008. Edwards' victim, a female, was under the age of 14 during that time window.

The Warren Police Department launched an investigation into the allegations in April 2014 after being notified of the assaults by the victim. Edwards was taken into police custody the same month after criminal charges were field.

In 2001, Edwards was convicted of sexual misconduct and placed on a sex offender list. In 2013, Edwards pled guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. He was placed on five years probation.
