An employee of a Papa John’s in Rock Hill is accused of using customers’ credit card numbers to make large purchases.

Police recently arrested Ruby Sanders, who worked at a Papa John’s on Manchester near Blossom Lane. When customers called to order a pizza, she would write down their credit card number and allegedly make big purchases.

One victim told police she noticed a $600 charge on her card a few days after ordering a pizza.

Authorities say she ordered items that were shipped to her home, allowing police to track her down.

When she was questioned, police claim she admitted to the crimes.

Papa Johns later released the following statement:

"At Papa John's we go to great lengths to ensure the safety and security of customer information. We understand that this independent franchisee took immediate action as soon as it came to their attention and they are fully cooperating with local authorities during their investigation.  There is no indication that this is more than an isolated incident but we will continue to diligently monitor the situation."
