FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A study of crash data from 2009-2013 of county roads in Franklin County helped identify the roads with the most accidents.

At the top of the list was Robertsville Road, west of Pacific.

"They're driving too fast for the way the road's designed," said Dave Callaway, who lives on Robertsville Road.

"The goal for the study was to reduce fatality crashes and serious vehicle crashes per year," Sgt. TJ Wild, with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, said.

He said the interstates and state highways usually get the most attention but the sheriff's department also wanted to identify other problem roads in Franklin County.

Trina Poole lives on North Bend Road, south of Union.

"They fly around these curves and before you know it you can hear the ambulance or the fire truck or something,” Poole said.

The sheriff's office is planning stepped up patrols on the top ten roads but hopes raising awareness will cause drivers to be more cautious.
