ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

The man police believe to be behind the graffiti around the St. Louis area labeled “super” was arrested recently and an area business owner says his arrest may have prompted more graffiti.

David Cox, 33, is the man police believe to be “super.” Graffiti is an exploding problem in the city and his arrest may have led to the graffiti community to gather support for him.

Keith King, a business owner, said he found “free super” graffiti written inside his parking garage on 4th street.

“I've asked them 'if you're here spray painting there's cars in my garage, can you go to the other side? I try to compromise with them,” King said.

His message is that he wants them to stop. He also says he's looking into other security measures to try and put an end to graffiti.
