The death of a 3-year-old child in 2015 in St. Louis City has been determined to be a homicide.

Karon Little died in August, 2015, nearly four years after allegedly being severely injured by his father, Rufus Little. He was taken to a hospital in December, 2011 when he was found unresponsive in his family’s north St. Louis home.

According to police, the medical examiner recently determined Little died from injuries caused by his father in December, 2011. The medical examiner says the cause of death was due to head trauma.

At the time of the injuries, Rufus was charged with second degree assault and abuse of a child.
