ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Jason R. Jenkins, a 32-year-old Florissant man, is in custody following a bi-state chase Monday morning.

He was charged with aggravated battery, being a fugitive out of state and leaving the scene of an accident.

The chase started near Litchfield, Illinois around 10:48 a.m. after the suspect allegedly put his car in reverse and hit an Illinois Department of Natural Resources officer with a car door at Lake Lou Yaeger.  The officer was attempting to conduct a fishing license compliance check.
