ALTON, Ill. (KMOV.com) –  A man has been sentenced to 15 months in prison, three years of supervised released and ordered to pay a $100 assessment after being convicted of making three separate bomb threats to a Metro East Home Depot.

Jeremy Colwell, 33, reportedly called the Home Depot in Alton on three separate occasions claiming there was a bomb in the building.

The first call was made on February 16, the second on April 2, and the third on April 4. During each call, police said he claimed there was a bomb that would endanger human life, knowing that there was no bomb on the property.

The store was closed and evacuated after each of the threats.
