Police ID man, woman killed in separate hit-and-runs

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Two pedestrians were struck and killed in separate hit-and-run accidents in north St. Louis.

Just before 9 p.m. Tuesday Percy Wade, 45, was struck by a white Chevrolet Impala in the 3000 block of North Florissant. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A little over three hours later, a woman, later identified as 39-year-old Jameca Stanfield was struck by a vehicle, described by police as a gray or silver Chevrolet Malibu, on North Grand at Cottage. The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at an area hospital following the accident.

The vehicles involved in both cases fled the scene following the incidents.
