ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police are searching for suspects who are responsible for several recent robberies just south of Busch Stadium.

The robberies occurred within blocks of each other in a span of just a few hours late Thursday night and early Friday morning.

The first robbery happened in the 1200 block of south 7th Street near the Rockhouse. A short time later, the Taco Bell at the intersection of Chouteau and Broadway was robbed when a suspect pointed a gun through the drive through window.

The final robbery happened in the 700 block of S. Broadway at the vicinity of Broadway Oyster Bar and BB’s Jazz, Blues and Soups.

Jonh May, owner of BB’s Jazz, Blues and Soups told News 4 he and other nearby businesses have discussed linking their camera systems to the Real Time Crime Center that is run by St. Louis Police.

“We’re actually here until 3, 4, 5 in the morning so we are constantly monitoring what is happening around our particular business and take care of your neighbor,” said May.

Police told News 4 there were no major incidents in the neighborhood on Opening Day, but police are ramping up their presence with start of baseball season and the start of the NHL playoffs.

“You’re going to see an increased police presence with both uniformed and undercover officers downtown. You’ll see our bike officers, K9 officers and more MetroLink officers,” said St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson.

Currently, police do not believe the three robberies are connected.
