ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The St. Louis Blues are hoping the public can help a cause that has touch many of the Blues players.

The St. Louis Blues are raffling off a 2008 Victory motorcycle. But there is a heart-breaking and heart-warming story behind the raffle.

Randy Girsch, St. Louis Blues Director of Community Development said, “We knew how much she meant to the motorcycle community, as well as the impact she had on us immediately."

17-year-old Emily Linneman had an impact on so many people, from hundreds of local bikers to Blues players.

"Alex Steen, Alex Pietrangelo, and David Backes all went out and met her," said Girsch.

Linneman had bone cancer that caused her to lose her left leg. The cancer spread to her right leg, lungs, and hip.

News 4 has followed Linneman’s adventurous journey crossing things off her bucket list. For example, playing baseball, riding a Harley, walking down the aisle, and meeting Blues players.

Linneman said, "It makes me really happy because I didn't know so many people cared."

Linneman lost her battle with cancer in late 2015. Her family started a foundation called Emily’s Ride.

Money raised from the raffle that the St. Louis Blues are hosting will help other families of children who have cancer.

The motorcycle fundraiser helps Emily’s Ride as well as Blues for Kids.

Blues for Kids helps children in the St. Louis community with education, health and wellness, and youth hockey.
