SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a south St. Louis gas station in late March.

The robbery occurred on March 25, police say. The suspect walked into a Phillips 66 in the 7000 block of Manchester and announced a robbery, indicating he had a gun

The clerk refused to hand over money, so the man then jumped over the counter and a struggle with the clerk ensued, police say.

Police believe the struggle eventually ended and the suspect came away with no money. He then ran out of the store.

The clerk was treated by paramedics for injuries to his face.
