NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

The Hazelwood School District will have a new superintendent on July 1.

The district recently announced Dr. Nettie Collins-Hart will take over as superintendent, replacing interim superintendent Dr. Ingrid Clark-Jackson.

Clark-Jackson and other district officials have come under fire for recent budget cuts to gym and music programs. Many parents have accused the district of not communicating about budget problems before passing the cuts.

Clark-Jackson was also the center of controversy for an alleged-racially charged Facebook post about her critics.
