ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – The St. Louis Police Department is investigating after three armed robberies at gas stations occurred on April 7.

The first robbery occurred at the Phillips 66 located at 8430 Hall around 5:10 a.m.

An employee told police he noticed one of the suspects was inside the business for a short time, but left and returned with the second suspect. The second suspect approached the counter, displayed a firearm and demanded money.

After receiving an unknown amount of money, the suspects ran from the store, police said.

Less than 45 minutes later, two suspects entered the Moto Mart located at 11005 Riverview and approached the counter. One of the suspects displayed a firearm and demanded the employee to empty the cash register.

Once the suspects received the money and both suspects left the business on foot.

Authorities believe the same suspects are responsible for both incidents.

Around 7:45 p.m. a man robbed a Westland Travel Center on Lilac Avenue near I-270. Authorities say the man used a silver and black gun, was wearing a black jacket, white shoes and a mask.

Police are checking to see if all three are connected.
