JERSEYVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) – The Jersey County Sheriff’s Office found a missing married couple safe Thursday after a standoff.

Tracie L. Trexler, 39, of Godfrey, was last seen Wednesday morning in Godfrey and Jonathan S. Trexler, 36, of Bunker Hill, was last seen Wednesday afternoon in Roxana.

Police surrounded a property in neighboring Calhoun County. Authorities said the standoff occurred at a property belonging to a friend of the husband.

After several hours, the husband surrendered.
