ST. LOUIS ( – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after a 33-year-old man died following an incident at the Central West End MetroLink Platform in March.

Police were called to the platform on March 19 just after 2 p.m. after for a reported fight. When police arrived, they made contact with the victim, later identified as Jordan Taynor, who told them he was not in a fight.

According to police, Taynor said he had seizures and was recently discharged from the hospital. Authorities said Taynor appeared intoxicated and had a strong smell of alcohol on him.

Taynor was treated at the hospital for an abrasion to the back of the head.  Homicide was requested following Taynor’s death on Friday. The Medical Examiner’s Office said an autopsy revealed he died due to head trauma and ruled the death a homicide.

The final autopsy report is pending, officials said.
