BERKELEY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The Berkeley Police Department is attempting to locate a person of interest after two women were found dead inside a home Wednesday.

The bodies of two women, Gerry Denise Smith, 60, and Cierra Owens, 26, were found in separate rooms in a home in the 6100 block of Eaton after it caught fire around 1:40 a.m. The cause of death has not been released.  

Authorities are asking for help locating Michael D. Smith, 39, who lived inside the home, as part of their investigation.

Smith is described as being 5-foot-10, 185 pounds. The vehicle he could be driving is described as a 2015 red Chevrolet Camaro with a Missouri temporary tag 01B55H.
