ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Two armored car workers were robbed at gunpoint in west St. Louis Monday night, police say.

The driver of the armored vehicle pulled over near the 1400 block of Amherst Place to use a GPS when the suspects approached the vehicle, pulled out guns and demanded money around 8 p.m.

The victims drove to the Xpress service station following the robbery.

The workers were not injured during the incident.

“They are fine, they are a little shook up, but we are taking them down to headquarters, and the FBI is involved and they are going to interview them,” said St. Louis Police Department Lt. Jim Joyner.

The suspects fled the scene with money from the truck, as well as a wallet, cell phone and firearm belonging to one of the victims.

Authorities are still searching for the suspects. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the FBI are conducting a joint investigation.
