O'FALLON, IL -

A popular pizza joint in the Metro East is reopening after catching fire on April 3.

Peel Pizza in O'Fallon, Illinois will be ready for customers at 11 a.m. on April 12.

The side of the pizzeria caught fire after flames trickled over from a separate dumpster fire.

The pizzeria had the side of its building destroyed after a dumpster fire trickled over to the building. Fire officials said the flames climbed up the wall of the pizzeria from the dumpster.

The cause of the initial dumpster fire is unknown at this time. The inside of the restaurant suffered smoke and water damage.

No one was injured. Customers were inside the building during the time of the fire, but all were able to get out safely.
