NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

The NGA will be getting land for it's proposed new facility in north St. Louis. The proposed site will take 99 acres from the old Pruitt-Igoe site, an urban housing project.

City leaders say that there are 550 parcels of land that would be used for the proposed NGA facility. The city has control of about 500 of those, while 40 of those parcels are still going through the eminent domain process. There are more than 100 owners to these properties.

While there is a movement to stop the eminent domain process, officials say only a few owners are impacted.

If everything goes to plan, leaders expect the process to be completed this fall - residents would have to be relocated from the area.
