NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Many who live in north St. Louis are embracing the revitalization possibilities that may result from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's, NGA, new home.

A great number of north St. Louis residents say they are glad to see St. Louis taking a major step towards development.

Clifton Brookings lives in North City and says he is ecstatic about the NGA moving to his area. Brookings says he sees this as a win-win.

“It's really good not only for that business [NGA] but the residents also who live on the surrounding area,” said Brookings.

Officials say the area has been blighted for years. Robbie Williams is also a resident of the area and says to know that jobs are on the way, is something she wants to hear. Williams says she is looking forward to the day when the NGA is up and running.

“That's really good for jobs, for the community and for the people. We need jobs for our young kids. It's hard times out here,” said Williams. “I would like to see St. Louis look like Silicon Valley. The development they have in that area could be done right here.”
