ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A 29-year-old St. Louis man is facing multiple charges after a Hillsboro, Missouri man was fatally shot in the Tower Grove South neighborhood Wednesday night.

Steven Sunkel, 55, was found with gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the 3600 block of Winnebago shortly after 11 p.m., police say.

Sunkel was pronounced dead at a hospital following the shooting. Authorities believe the shooting was drug-related.

Monday morning, the St. Louis Police Department charged Ricky Bolden with murder first, armed criminal action and three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in connection to the case. He is currently being held without bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
