MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A woman allegedly part of a traveling theft gang is accused of stealing a local woman’s purse and withdrawing money from her bank account.

Crystal Hall, 26, is charged with two counts of forgery. She allegedly stole the purse, cell phone and wallet of Cecila Lause by breaking into her car. Lause was at the Edward Jones YMCA in Maryland Heights when the crime occurred. When she walked out of the building to her car, she said she noticed that the back passenger window was shattered.

Lause said Hall stole more than $3,000 out of her bank account.

According to police, Hall is an alleged member of the Felony Lane Gang, a group that originated out of Georgia and Florida. Members of the gang rent cars and travel across the country to break into cars and steal purses.

Police say the incident is a reminder to everyone to not leave valuables in their cars. Authorities believe more suspects could be connected to the case.
