ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man who identified himself as a police officer was shot at by a woman he was involved in a relationship with, police say.
Police said a 38-year-old woman went to a home in the 3900 block of North Florissant to speak to a 40-year-old man she was in a relationship with late Monday night. Police said the man left home and fired a shot at the woman, which missed her. The woman returned fire, giving the man a graze wound to his shoulder.
The woman then went back to her home in the 5900 block of Theodore. Shortly after, the man knocked on the door and identified himself as a police officer. After opening the door and noticing the man was not an officer, she fired additional shots at the man, missing him.
Police were called and guns were recovered from both the man and woman.
Police said the suspect, who is accused of impersonating an officer, was treated for a gunshot wound at the scene and was taken into custody. The woman is not facing charges.
