ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for help locating a gun that is believed to have been used to murdered six shop clerks in 1992.

The gun, described as an Erma Werke ET-22, has a unique look due to the barrel length and the wood forestock under the barrel, according to a post on the St. Charles Police Department’s Facebook page.

The gun is believed to have been used in killings that occurred in shops along Interstate 70 and Interstate 35 between Indianapolis and Wichita, Kansas. It is also believed to be the weapon used to kill Nancy Kitzmiller in St. Charles at the Boot Village on May 4, 1992.

Anyone with information should call the police department at 1-800-800-3510.
