Woman carjacked in U. City; teen arrested after chase

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com)  -- Police arrested a teen they say is responsible for carjacking a woman in University City.

The incident happened around 6:10 p.m. on Friday after officers received a call for a carjacking in the 6200 block of Clemons. The victim of the carjacking said three teens robbed her at gunpoint and stole her car.

The suspect, later identified as Raterrell M. Gray, 17, of Dellwood, allegedly fled from police after a patrolman saw the stolen vehicle. Officers pursued the vehicle until Raterrell crashed it in the area of Lucas and Hunt and Echo Park.

Police say Gray fled on foot and dropped a loaded .32 caliber handgun. Officers pursued Gray and apprehended him in Velda City.

No one was injured during the incident.
