VELDA CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A suspect is in custody following a deadly hit-and-run in Velda City from February.
Keisha Redding, 23, was killed when she was struck by a red Monte Carlo that was fleeing from police on February 26, authorities said.
Mikal Hamilton, 24, is charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and leaving scene of motor vehicle accident.
Hamilton was later identified by a Velda City police officer and from video at an apartment complex, according to authorities.
CrimeStoppers was offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Hamilton’s arrest.
Information regarding the suspect has not been released.
