NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A man is facing charges in connection to fatal shooting that occurred in north St. Louis Wednesday evening.

Dominique Kemper, 22, is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and resisting arrest.

The shooting happened near the intersection of Evans and Pendleton around 6:00 p.m. The victim, Andre Walker, 43, was taken to a hospital but later died.

Police say Kemper shot Walker and proceeded to a vehicle occupied by a second suspect, a 22-year-old woman. After the vehicle description was broadcast, officers found the car and attempted to pull it over. The vehicle fled, struck a police car causing minor damage and stopped in the area of Semple and Bricher. Kemper allegedly attempted to flee on foot, but was caught. Both suspects were taken into custody.
