JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Wednesday, the Missouri House of Representatives passed a measure that would honor a fallen state trooper.

Trooper James Bava, 25, was on-duty when he was killed in a car crash in August 2015.

The measure, House Bill 2335, was created to memorialize Bava by naming a stretch of Highway FF in Audrian County after him.

The bill now heads to the senate.
